The Research Communication Experts
About us
Asia Research News connects research with the wider world. In 2005, we launched Asia’s first research news portal, creating a framework for institutions to share their news and thrive independently. Researchers gained greater recognition for their work and journalists benefited from a centralized resource for a wider variety of news to interest their readers, viewers and listeners. Our company has evolved to provide a complete suite of communication services and training for research institutions looking to expand their international presence. Our flagship Asia Research News print magazine, published since 2009, has been so popular that we adopted the title as our brand name with a redesigned Asia Research News website in 2019. We are proud to support Asia's research community by continuing to increase awareness of the innovation throughout the region.

So you’ve answered the survey, but does it sway policy and shape your city? A Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) paper offers a framework that helps policymakers, urban architects, and planners translate seas of digital participation data into actionable strategies. Simon Perrault: “Participation is often treated as a one-time event rather than an ongoing process. There’s plenty of focus on gathering input but less on how it gets used. Our work addresses this by developing a structured and systematic way to evaluate and implement participation outcomes effectively.” https://lnkd.in/gXTBMxAX #urbangeography #cities #participation #citizenship #policymaking

Biochemist Kamala Sohonie (18 June 1911 – 28 June 1998) became the first woman to be accepted into the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh to a family of distinguished chemists, Sohonie was determined to follow in her father’s and uncle’s professional footsteps. Once accepted at IISc, she became the first scientist to characterise the proteins in pulses, a type of legume commonly eaten in India. Her research impressed the IISc director so much that he began accepting women into the program. Sohonie received a research scholarship to complete her Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge, where she discovered cytochrome C, an enzyme important for energy generation, found in all plant cells. #DYK: Quantum entanglement is a unique phenomenon wherein two previously connected particles remain linked no matter how far apart they are in space. Osaka Metropolitan University physicists have developed new, simpler formulas to quantify the phenomenon and applied them to study several nanoscale materials. https://lnkd.in/gdqE7-82 #physics #quantumphysics #breakthroughs #sciencenews
